Faster - Smaller - Cheaper

The drawings below demonstrate that intermixing Mirrored Pinout with Standard ICs significantly shortens the connection length. The shorter the distance, the faster the circuit will operate. The total size of the PC Circuit Board shrinks and the cost of raw materials is lowered.

Note: Only Pin 1 is shown for clarity.
Other pins can be routed for shortest distance to optimize critical signals, clock, reset etc.

Fig. 1: Conventional design with only "Standard" pinout ICs.
The distance from Pin 1 of U1 to Pin 1 of U2 is relatively long.

Fig. 2: Design intermixes "Mirrored Pinout" with "Standard Pinout".
Both ICs are mounted on the same side of the board.
The distance between Pin 1 is shorter than example in Fig.1 .

Fig. 3: Design intermixes a "Mirrored Pinout" on bottom side of board with a "Standard Pinout" on the top side. Pins are connected using plated vias drilled through the board. The distance is extremely short.
